CANDIED FIGS

 
 

Only the freshest whole figs are carefully selected, slowly cooked in special saucepans and delicately stirred for over two hours with wooden spoons. Sweetened simply with unrefined brown sugar and fresh lemon, caramelized figs have always been the ideal "accompaniment " for Fossa cheese, gorgonzola cheese, pecorino, mascarpone, ice- cream, natural yoghurt and fresh fruit. Perfect if spread on a roasted slice of bread, they give a touch of sweetness and healthy energy at any time of the day.
